Cultural Elements

Culture has elements that make a behavior or action in society a culture. The following are the elements that exist in a culture:

  • language system

Human ability to study a social phenomenon will affect how culture will develop, one of which is the presence of language use. Language is a means of need to be able to interact with others, through language a person will fulfill his social needs.

The language system becomes one of the elements of culture because through language a person can interact and understand one another, so that communication is established, namely the exchange of messages.

  • Knowledge system

The knowledge system is also part of the cultural elements, because knowledge is part of the ideas that arise as a result of humans. The knowledge system that is owned by someone and passed on to the next generation will help regarding how a problem or problem is carried out.

  • Social system

Other cultural elements are related to the social system that exists within a group in society. The social system in question is in the form of a kinship system and social organization as humans form various social groups to become a broad society.

The social system will regulate how cultural community groups live based on customs, rules regarding how someone will get along and live in their community environment. The closest social system is the kin system or also known as the nuclear family and its relatives.

Technology in culture are objects that can support the manufacture of equipment for human life, even though the material or method of manufacture is still simple.

  • Live livelihood

Livelihoods of life or known as a person's job is certainly part of the cultural elements that are no less important. The community, however, needs an economic system that can support their daily needs.

  • Religious system

It cannot be denied that at first culture emerged from the analysis carried out by the ancestors or predecessors in viewing their environment and life. The religious system in a culture concerns what is believed in that cultural group as something that has supernatural powers, this concerns the beliefs of each culture.

  • Art system

Another element contained in culture is its art, where art in a culture can also be understood as a form of inheritance for the work and identity of a culture.

The art system refers to the techniques and process of making art objects which are carried out based on the ways and culture that a person learns from his culture. In addition, the art system is also experiencing developments such as music, drama, dance and so on.

Its Implementation in Society

Culture is a person's way of life that is passed down from generation to generation. In other words, culture can also be understood as an adaptive trait that is carried out by someone in an effort to meet their needs by adjusting to their environment.

It is not surprising that the culture in each region will be different, because culture will follow the characteristics of one's environment and place of residence so that the solution to the problem will vary. Culture exists as an effort to adapt humans to their environment in survival, each region will have its own culture.

Understanding the predecessors through an observation and the process of seeking knowledge will influence how culture will develop. Culture can develop according to time and adaptation if the environment around where you live also changes.
