New Funding Pocket, Giladiskon Focuses on Collaborating with Culinary SMEs

Funding received from the Mobile Only Accelerator (MOX) acceleration program

Giladiskon, a subsidiary of Frontier Group, announced the latest funding received from Mobile Only Accelerator (MOX). This fresh fund is received by the company after participating in an accelerator program that focuses on programs cross-border mobile internet. It was not stated further how much funding was received.

"Crazy discount is the right platform for people to find restaurants and lifestyle retail such as children's playgrounds, karaoke, salons and so on, and promo vouchers for games, entertainment, and financial services going forward,” said SOSV General Partner and MOX Managing Director William Bao Bean.

According to Giladiskon CEO Fandy Santoso, the funds will later be used by the company for product development and embracing millions of partners merchant SMEs that have culinary businesses into the platform to introduce their brands and products to consumers at no cost.

"For us, the educational process is still one of the challenges that we hope can be overcome soon with the support of SOSV MOX. This is because it is good for user and merchant, the partnership model that we offer is still relatively new," said Fandy.

Over the course of 9 months, Giladiskon has worked with more than 350 restaurants and claims to have helped produce revenue of US$400,000 for partners.

Unlike similar platforms, Giladiskon partners are not required to pay fees or commissions. They also determine the terms and conditions of the given promo. Instead, partners provide special promos for Giladiskon premium members.

Focus on SMEs

Seeing the huge potential to reach more SMEs to market their businesses, Giladiskon has several strategies to implement.

"The first step we will take is to educate that there is now a platform that merchants can use to introduce their brands and products with marketing budget low or even free," said Fandy to DailySocial.

Giladiskon wants to be present as a platform that is not burdensome merchant so that they can focus more on finding the right strategy to attract consumers to come to their stores through the platform.
