PT Amartha Mikro Fintek (Amartha) officially collaborated with PT Bank Nationalnobu Tbk (Nobu Bank). This collaboration is to support the capital of ultra-micro business actors in rural areas in various locations in Indonesia. The signing of the cooperation agreement was carried out on July 27, 2023, at the Nobu Bank office, Gajah Mada Tower, Central Jakarta.

Amartha and Nobu Bank are committed to participating in accelerating the provision of productive business capital for more than 30.000 Amartha fostered partners. These partners consist of various sectors, especially in Java, North Sumatra, West Sumatra and South Sumatra. The initial capital commitment reached 100 billion rupiah.

Behind the Collaboration of Amartha and Nobu Bank

Julie Fauzie, Chief Funding Officer of Amartha, stressed the importance of accelerating productive business capital for MSMEs in Indonesia. According to him, capital acceleration for MSMEs which are the backbone of the national economy cannot be achieved by Amartha alone.

"Amartha welcomes the synergistic collaboration with Nobu Bank, which has more than 30 years of experience in the financial industry and has the same vision and mission in supporting the MSME and ultra-micro segments which are the pillars of the national economy which are the foundation of this collaboration step. Hopefully this collaboration can be successful directly have a real impact on improving the economy and standard of living of MSMEs so that it can have a significant domino effect for their families and communities," said Julie.

On the other hand, Nobu Bank chose Amartha as a collaboration partner because both of them have the same business concept and vision and mission. Both are committed to making a positive contribution to the economy by prioritizing services for MSME businesses.

On this occasion, the Director of Nobu Bank, Andrian Meirawan Saputra, explained that the signing of the collaboration with Amartha was a form of Nobu Bank's commitment to supporting the growth of MSMEs in Indonesia.

"We see the same enthusiasm and commitment from Amartha, who has consistently provided assistance and capital support for MSMEs, especially ultra-micro business actors," said Andrian.

Furthermore, Andrian added that this collaborative partnership was also an important milestone for Nobu Bank. This is because Nobu Bank is currently focusing on developing the micro credit segment, in addition to the consumer and SME segments which have become its main competencies.

Coinciding with its 13th anniversary, Amartha noted that the total performance of their productive business capital distribution has increased. Until the end of the first quarter of 2023, there has been a two-fold increase in the islands of Sumatra, Java and Sulawesi compared to the same period the previous year.

Commitment to Support Local Economic Growth

It is known that until now, Amartha has collaborated with more than 30 institutions in the financial sector. Some of them; PT Bank Permata Tbk (BNLI), BPR BJA, Flip, BCA Digital, and various other partners. Previously, Amartha also collaborated with the Ministry of Communication and Informatics (Kominfo) in implementing the Digital Technology Adoption and MSME Business Incubation programs.

Not only through working capital, Amartha also supports MSMEs with financial and digital literacy. This shows Amartha's consistency in supporting MSMEs to increase competitiveness in the market

"Amartha is open to any opportunities for collaboration with various institutions in providing the best products and services for MSMEs throughout Indonesia. Through this ongoing collaboration, Amartha is optimistic that it will be able to accelerate productive credit growth and expand financial inclusion evenly," concluded Julie.
