Along with the development of the service marketplace, on-demand, Architag tries to accommodate the market niche architects and interior designers with services that are planned to be launched later this month. To fund the realization of this idea, Arsitag has secured seed funding from East Ventures.

Founded by three people who had lived in the San Francisco area, Edward Harjanto, Steven Gomedi, and Michael Gani, Architect see a gap when people in Indonesia when building houses directly relate to contractors and do not use the services of architects. It is estimated that only 10-15% of construction projects use the services of architects. Even if you use the services of an architect, it is usually based on references, because it turns out that reaching an architect, who suits your taste, is not easy.

It is stated that in 2014 construction costs in Indonesia reached $100 billion, or almost 10% of Indonesia's GDP. Experts estimate growth in this sector 50% faster than the growth in GDP value.

CTO Michael Gani, who used to work as an Apple Engineer, commented, "The construction industry is very traditional - it's unorganized and lacks transparency. It's hard to imagine, in this digital age, references are the most common, if not the only way to reach professionals. in the construction field. Even then, the quality of the work is not guaranteed. This aristag changes this and wants users to explore our directory and find professionals who match their needs. Our smart search makes it easy for users to narrow down their search through convenient filters, such as location, style, and more etc."

"Arsitag is a networking platform where professionals showcase their work, connect and inspire one another. In the future, Arsitag will introduce data analytics features that can help professionals streamline their sales and marketing efforts. We hope to help them focus on what matters. - the design [itself]," added COO Steven Gomedi.

Managing Partner of East Ventures Willson Cuaca, regarding this funding, stated, "We build 400 thousand housing units every year and Jakarta currently has almost 1000 towers [offices and apartments]. Obviously this is another big category that needs to be 'disturbed'."
