Builk Asia Construction Project Management and Social Networking Services Coming Soon in Indonesia

Construction project management services and social networks Asian build, who hails from Thailand, will soon be present in Indonesia. As quoted from The Nation, Builk will launch its iOS app this month in four languages, one of which is Indonesian. The founder of Builk, Patai Padungtin, also confirmed that later this year they will be bringing the service fully to Indonesia and Australia.

Builk begins to gain regional attention when it wins events Startup Marketplace at Echelon 2012 then. Builk take niche construction, where users can use it as Software as a Service (SaaS) for their project management activities. A kind of ERP that is devoted to fields like this.

So far, it has been stated that this service has been used by more than 2000 companies in Thailand with a contract value (which is managed using Builk) reaching US$ 440 million. Builk is free for service version websites, where revenue is derived from advertising (30%), market research (40%) and software licensing (30%). Builk's revenue expectation until the end of the year is projected to reach 6-7 million Baht (Rp 2-2.5 billion).

In addition to project management, Builk has also expanded its service coverage with Builk Connect, which provides social networking facilities to connect construction service providers and consumers who need them.

The construction segment targeted by Builk has proven to be effective in attracting consumers and investors. Builk has secured investment from engineering consulting and architectural firm Project Planning Services to strengthen its financial side and ability to expand into new markets.

So far I have not seen a similar competitor (in this case a technology startup) in Indonesia that is engaged in a similar field (construction) to Builk. It's about time we take Builk as one role modesl for the establishment of online-based services, especially those targeting social networks and still being able to earn income with positive growth.

Builk's arrival in Indonesia is certainly not the first and certainly won't be the last. Indonesia's largest market in Southeast Asia will surely attract the attention of various regional startups to try our market. Are you ready to start being "colonized" by startups from neighboring countries?

Update:builk.co.id has started operating in Indonesian and the inauguration will take place in the near future
