Collaboration Telkomsel and Startups Through the TINC Program

These various collaborations are not only benefited by Telkomsel or related startups, but also have a real impact on the people who are the target market.

TINC collaboration with eFishery

One form of collaboration that has been carried out by Telkomsel is collaborating with eFishery for presenting a digital fishing village in Indramayu, West Java. Through this program, fish farmers in the Losarang aquaculture area, Indramayu Regency can take advantage of their products automatic fish feeder in fish ponds to increase feed efficiency and speed up the fish harvest cycle.

Collaboration between automated fish feed technology solutions that can be controlled via smartphones from eFishery, the application of NB-IoT technology (Narrowband Internet of Things) from Telkomsel, plus Japfa, which provides quality fish feeds, makes the synergy of these three companies even stronger in bringing benefits to the community in Losarang, Indramayu.

Gibran Huzaifah as the founder of eFishery explained that their vision is bring the future of aquaculture. According to him, fisheries cultivators in Indonesia are one of the best in the world. Through the solution developed by eFishery, he hopes that Indonesia can become a pioneer in aquaculture practices that prioritize the use of technology. He is also happy that the initiative and its products can facilitate collaboration between Telkomsel as the largest digital service provider in Indonesia with the West Java provincial government having an extraordinary vision to develop rural areas.

eFishery is quite successful in inviting fish farmers to be technology literate, starting from smart feeders and supporting applications. Introducing smartphone technology to traditional fish farmers is also interesting. Chrisna Aditya, CTO of eFishery explained that initially the farmers used smartphones only to operate feeder just. However, after learning that smartphones can be used to watch YouTube, they became interested in learning more about fish farming.

Aggressively, eFishery also continues develop technology in their products. One of them is to test the use of 5G technology together Telkomsel in West java. In addition to eFisheryFeeder, currently they are also developing eFisheryFresh which absorbs the harvest of various fishery commodities directly from local cultivators and fishermen which we then market to various consumers, as well as eFisheryFund as a financing system for cultivators.

TINC collaboration with Jala

Other collaborations that have been done by Telkomsel is with Jala, a startup agrotech which focuses on the utilization and development of technology in the aquatic sector, particularly in shrimp farming. In its business, Jala offers products in the form of a combination of internet-connected water quality measurement tools and data-based analysis systems for better cultivation.

Jala and TINC had collaborated to conduct research and integrate their Nb-IoT technology Telkomsel with Jala's technology.
