UOB Indonesia and COCOWORK Collaboration Supports Startup Growth

Provide consulting assistance, networking, and financial services for startups that join

With the aim of embracing more startups and SMEs, Bank UOB Indonesia announced a partnership with COCOWORK to present UOB X COCOWORK. In his remarks, UOB Indonesia President Director Kevin Lam said, co-working space UOB X COCOWORK at the UOB Plaza Jakarta building is expected to be a startup platform for working and collaborating.

"This strategic partnership can help SMEs and startups to support Indonesia's economic development. UOB Indonesia hopes to be a part of this ecosystem."

Not only workspace, in co-working space UOB X COCOWORK All startups and SMEs who join can take advantage of the UOB network in Indonesia and in other countries. From training to special consultations, UOB Indonesia wants to help startups develop their businesses. Currently there are about 40 companies that are tenant di co-working space UOB X COCOWORK.

Although specifically targeting fintech services, UOB Indonesia also opens up opportunities for technology companies, digital marketing companies, professional service providers such as law firms, accountants and intellectual property specialists to join the UOB Indonesia community and COCOWORK.

"UOB Bank has a presence in 15 countries and we are ready to help startups that intend to expand their business. Later if needed we will provide consultations to invite them to join in our CSR activities," said UOB Indonesia Channels Director Pardi Kendy.

UOB also provides financial services to startups that want to get additional working capital.

COCOWORK ekspansi expansion plans

After announcing rebranding become COCOWORK (formerly EV Hive) last June, COCOWORK had plans by the end of 2018 to expand to three new cities, namely Makassar, Bali and Yogyakarta.

Established for three years, COCOWORK now has 21 locations in Jakarta and Medan with a total of three thousand members. COCOWORK's expansion plan is expected to expand work opportunities for startups in other cities.

"Through collaboration with UOB Indonesia, our members can have the opportunity to grow their business in Southeast Asia," concluded COCOWORK Co-Founder & CEO Carlson Lau.
