Class.com Presents Exclusive Learning Content for the General Public

Collaborating with three professional mentors, applying subscription fees to customers

Aiming to bring exclusive educational content online, Kelas.com officially present in Indonesia. Startup edutech Founded by CEO William Sutrisna, it targets the general public who want to gain more insight and education online.

In the initial stage, Class.com has partnered with three professionals to become mentors, among them Chef Juna (cooking), Ryan Ogilvy (make-up), and Riotret (photography). Furthermore, Kelas.com will add class categories such as fashion design, journalism, music to native Indonesian arts such as gamelan, batik, and wayang.

"Basically, we want to present mentors who are currently popular among the public and the best in their fields. For that reason, Kelas.com was founded," said William.

When asked what distinguishes the videos made by Class.com from other platforms such as Skillshare and YouTube, William emphasized that all content presented has been curated and has never been uploaded on other platforms. Thus, Class.com subscribers will get exclusive videos that are only available on the platform.

"By applying subscription fees, customers can get a year's worth of educational videos from mentors. In the future, we will also create new content from the same mentor for more in-depth discussion," said William.

Kelas.com targets per year to recruit one mentor and add more training classes from various categories. Claiming to have earned pre-registered As many as 10 thousand users, the target is that Kelas.com can add another 100 thousand users.

Has received funding from angel investors

To make it easier for customers to make payments, Class.com provides options via bank transfer and credit card. The subscription fee charged to users is IDR 490 thousand per year. Class.com also plans to add payment options through Alfamart, OVO, and Tcash outlets.

The material taught by the mentors can be accessed in the form of videos with a duration of 2-5 hours per class. In addition, there is also a workbook that can be downloaded as an exercise, in order to understand the techniques presented in more depth.

"Currently, Kelas.com can only be accessed through the website, but to make it easier for users to access, we also have plans to launch an application," said William.

The startup has also received funding from angel investors local. Currently, Kelas.com, which only has four team members, hopes to become an alternative platform for the general public who want to receive informal education.
