CekAja Targets Two Million Unique Visits Per Month in 2015

After operating for about nine months, the financial product comparison service CheckAja said his party already had around 500 thousand unique visitors per month and has processed 25.000 consumers to various banks, insurance institutions, and multi-finance institutions. In November they also expanded to the Philippines by establishing eCompareMo. In 2015, CejAja is targeting the acquisition of two million unique visitors per month with higher traffic conversions.

CekAja is arguably one of the most complete financial product comparison services, covering a variety of financial products, from savings, various credit products, sharia products, insurance products, for individuals and SMEs. CekAja also adds to its service category by providing information on the comparison of cable TV services and Internet providers in Indonesia.

CekAja founder JP Ellis said that throughout 2014 can be said as a period of soft launch for CheckAja. In this period Ellis said, "CekAja's traffic continues to grow consistently with the highest increase of up to 70% MoM (month on month) and continues to drive more than 500 thousand unique visitors with an average session duration of more than 6 minutes on more than 75% of unique visitors who visit. Hopefully, in 2015 we can get 2 million unique visitors with high quality traffic."

Of the total visits, CekAja has handled the registration and ordering of more than 25 thousand consumers to the services of various banks, institutions multi-finance, and insurance. Ellis claims, "Customer the one we sent also has approval rates and business metrics that are quite competitive with today's non-digital agents starting the market first. The difference is that we have speed, transparency and good efficiency in all the processes that are undertaken."

Ellis also revealed that they already have around 50 partners from banks, insurance, associations, and regulators in both Indonesia and the Philippines. As of last November, CekAja went regional by establishing a similar service under the name eCompareMo in the Philippines.

During the year, Ellis expects more innovation from banks and insurers, as they compete more heavily to retain customers. CekAja also continues to add special offers as a form of competition in increasing the number of customers. The special offer here is a condition when CekAja can offer financial products online with deal specifically from the bank partners they have.

CekAja has also prepared an infrastructure that is ready to accept e-applications if their bank partners are ready for a process like this.

In addition to developments on the product side, Ellis said that his party is initiating the formation of the Financial Services Technology Providers Association (FinTech Indonesia) as an association of financial service technology providers that brings together financial service technology providers; financial institutions such as banks, financial institutions, and insurance; financial activity supervisory organization; and policy makers (stakeholder) financially from both government and non-government.

Ellis hopes, "In the future, this association is expected to become a forum for practitioners of financial activities and para stakeholder to formulate a vision and mission so that the financial world in Indonesia can be more efficient, transparent and secure, through the use of digital or online platforms."
