Carro Adds Partnership with Blibli, Simplifies the Car Exchange-Add Process

Previously worked with Tokopedia for buying and selling cars and "test drive" services

Carro once again announced the latest collaboration, this time partnering with Blibli to provide easy buying and selling of cars and cars online. A similar collaboration has also been carried out by the company with Tokopedia which has been established since last year.

Previously, the rival OLX Cars also recently inaugurated a strategic agreement with Tokopedia for new car sales business opportunities in Indonesia.

In an official statement, Carro Co-Founder Aditya Lesmana explained, through Blibli now consumers can easily sell and buy cars from home. Whether it's swapping out for a bigger, more luxurious vehicle, or swapping out for a smaller, affordable car. "Carro sees that consumers want convenience when they want to sell or buy a vehicle," he explained, Thursday (18/2).

EVP of Digital and Automotive Category Blibli Lay Ridwan Gautama added, "Through the synergy of the two community companies, they have a digital platform that can help realize their dreams of owning a car easily and getting the best price for their used car.

"We see the four-wheeled vehicle sales and purchase segment experiencing significant growth in the automotive category in Blibli. This collaboration also has the potential to stimulate the market in the midst of the challenging Indonesian economy,” said Lay.

As explained further by Aditya, through the Blibli platform, consumers can make trade-in/exchange transactions.trade-in car easily and finished in one day. Consumers only need to fill in information about the car they want to trade in through Blibli. Furthermore, the Carro team will coordinate with consumers to carry out car inspections in accordance with health protocols at locations desired by consumers.

Inspections will be carried out thoroughly at 150 points, after which the team will provide an assessment of the car and provide the best price from thousands of Carro dealer partners throughout Indonesia. This whole process takes 1 hour after consumer approval. "In addition, consumers can still carry out the process" trade-in, even though the car has not been paid off.”

Tokopedia and Blibli are a number of Carro's strategies to realize its ambition as a pioneer of digital transformation in Indonesia automotive industry by applying sales standards contactless. As mentioned earlier, in the last year Carro recorded the trend of buying cars globally contactless increase by 100% per month. As of September 2020, three out of 10 cars were sold through contactless.

Apart from the platform E-commerce, the company also launched the device lock and unlock which can be accessed via a smartphone for all cars sold at Carro.
