DailySocial Report: Using the Online Car Marketplace for Buying and Selling Cars

As many as 96% have used online platforms for buying and selling cars

Car sales in Indonesia are indeed volatile, but the trend is in a positive direction along with the increasing number of the middle class. In Q1 2018, Gakindo recorded that there were around 291.912 vehicles sold.

In addition to benefiting the automotive industry, this increasing trend is also an opportunity for digital businesses to take shelter, and this is no exception car marketplace. DailySocial in collaboration with JakPat Mobile Survey Platform conducted this research to see people's interest in the service car marketplace.

Some of the survey results obtained are quite interesting, including:

  1. Of the 1257 respondents who searched or made car buying/selling transactions, 96% of them had used online channels.
  2. Most respondents agree (51%) that online platforms make it easier to sell cars.
  3. Most of the others also agree (52%) that online platforms make it easier to buy a car.
