C2C Marketplace Service Selling Remco Lupker Recruitment

The C2C marketplace service Jualo has just taken a strategic step by recruiting Remco Lupker, who we know is one of the founders of Tokobagus, who is currently transforming into the leader of the C2C marketplace OLX Indonesia. Remco will become a Senior Industry Advisor and will be involved in the operations of Jualo.

Jualo, who just got Series A pendanaan funding from NSI Ventures and Alpha JWC Ventures, may be the only competitor to OLX (which has merged with Berniaga) in the C2C realm (or also often referred to as classified ads or classifieds). Remco, who left Tokobagus in 2012 and later founded the advertising technology company Ambient Digital Indonesia, is expected to be the right person to help Jualo better understand and ultimately dominate the Indonesian market.

Another Tokobagus founder, Arno Egg, is currently the CTO of Lippo Group which owns the MatahariMall B2C marketplace service. Remco and Arno founded Tokobagus in 2007 and left the company in 2012 when they became market leaders.

Jualo founder Chaim Fetter said, “We are looking for someone who has the skills and experience to propel Jualo to the front seat of the online marketplace for used goods. Remco is a pioneer in this field – so he is the best choice!”

Remco itself is said to want to join Jualo after being amazed by the development of Jualo so far with a relatively small budget, when compared to its competitors.
