Bridestory Remodels Website, Transforms from Inspirational Channel to Recommendation Platform

The Bridestory Pay payment feature can now be used for vendors in Singapore

Towards the end of the year, platform marketplace Bridestory's wedding is revamping the design and user experience on its site. According to the presentation of Bridestory Co-Founder Doni Hanafi, this design change is part of the transformation of inspiration-based platform menjadi recommendation-based platform.

"Our goal for this update is to provide a more accurate and precise choice of vendors for the bride and groom, so that their wedding planning process becomes more practical and easier," said Doni.

When opening the site Bride story, users will be asked to describe aspects of their marriage in detail. Starting from the time and place the event will be held, the budget prepared, the number of guests invited, to what category of vendors are still needed. Based on the information provided, the system will provide recommendations for vendor choices.

Increased penetration of Bridestory Pay

This year features Bridestory Pay launched, as a payment solution to bridge various transactions between prospective brides and wedding vendors. According to Doni's explanation, currently Bridestory Pay does not carry the concept e-wallet, but offers a wider variety of payment options for brides-to-be.

"By making transactions through Bridestory Pay, brides-to-be can enjoy various benefits, such as a 0% installment program through 15 selected banks that we work with, wedding cancellation insurance, to cashback which can be obtained directly," continued Doni.

Another benefit offered through Bridestory Pay is the reward for vendors. Wedding vendors have the opportunity to earn Bridestory Points from every transaction through Bridestory Pay. Points can be redeemed for various Bridestory products and services.

Since December 2018, Briedstory Pay can be used by vendors in Singapore for payment options. In addition, this digital payment feature is claimed to make it easier for vendors to get payment transactions from overseas clients.

“Bridestory Pay has been widely used by prospective brides from outside Indonesia who want to get married in Indonesia. Destination weddings or destination weddings are increasingly popular with brides and grooms today. Bridestory Pay seeks to make it easier for vendors to accept payments from clients located overseas.”

Bridestory achievement target

On its platform, Bridestory currently accommodates more than 40 thousand wedding vendors from 126 countries. Bridestory has also operated (has representative offices) in Singapore and the Philippines. Besides Bridestory Pay, this year they also launched Personalized Vendor Discovery and Parentstory.

Asked about the business target for next year, Doni said that Bridestory would still continue to hold on to the mission that was set together. Bridestory wants to always help brides and grooms to realize their dream wedding concept and help wedding vendors in an effort to maximize business potential.

"Therefore, in 2019 we will continue to focus on developing the initiatives that we started in 2018, in order to provide better services and realize this mission," concluded Doni.
