Collaborating with Belimob, Blibli Launches the Exchange Add Car Feature

Aiming to make it easier for customers to sell their old cars with new cars, e-commerce services Blibli launched the Swap Add car feature. Collaborating with Belimob which is a business unit of Mobil88, a subsidiary of Astra which is engaged in the purchase of used car vehicles, it is hoped that this feature can be one-stop shopping experience for Blibli customers.

“Exchange service (trade-in) is our effort to present one-stop shopping experience for customers when buying a car at Blibli. And as a first step, we are partnering with Mobil88, which is trusted as well as a leader in the field of buying and selling used cars," said Senior Vice President of Trade Partnership Blibli Lay Ridwan Gautama.

The increasing prevalence of online automotive buying and selling platforms is one of the reasons why Belimob is interested in establishing a partnership with Blibli. Previously, Belimob supplied the needs of used cars for sales at mobil88. Belimob is now opening a used car purchase service for individuals with a guarantee that all brands and types of cars will be purchased.

"We have been targeting the e-commerce market for a long time and through this collaboration we are ready to provide the best, including convenience in buying and selling services for Blibli.com customers," said Mobil88 President Director Halomoan Fischer Lumbantoruan.

The transaction process is claimed to be transparent

This service is a development of a car sales service facility that has existed in Blibli since 2016. This feature makes it easier for Blibli customers to sell their old car when they want to buy a new car in Blibli. Later the old car will be purchased by Belimob.

"Blibli for the sale of automotive products, especially cars, has currently collaborated with more than 15 flagship car brands and in the near future gradually other brands and types of cars that we sell can be purchased by means of Exchange Add," said Lay.

Customers who want to sell old cars and buy new cars through Blibli, can visit situs special. After all the requirements are completed, customers will get the best price information that will be provided by Blibli and Belimob.

Once verified, the customer will get an e-voucher within 4 days worth the agreed selling price of the car. Later, customers can immediately buy a new car using an e-voucher with a direct discount.

Apart from Belimob, several startups have targeted the same market. Call it BeliMobilGue and Carsome. The difference is that in Belimob the funds are devoted to buying new cars, while the other two platforms offer liquid funds in cash.
