Blanja Partners with LinkAja as a Digital Payment Platform

An e-commerce service resulting from a joint venture between Telkom Indonesia and eBay, Blanja, collaborates with LinkAja as the main electronic wallet platform. LinkAja is the result j a number of payment solutions owned by SOEs. To date, LinkAja claims to have 25 million users in early April 2019.

Blanja's steps follow in the footsteps of Tokopedia (using Ovo) and Bukalapak (using Dana) which use third-party payment services that have an electronic money license from Bank Indonesia.

This year Blanja is also trying to increase traffic with a focus on organic business growth, in the form of pasting posters and information containing QR Codes, so that more consumers download the application.

Last year Blanja managed to increase the number traffic up to 43%. It is hoped that by the end of this year, traffic can increase up to 50% on all Blanja platforms.

"We did start to focus on using the application to users, however, users who access desktop with and Mobile browser the number is still quite large," said Blanja CEO Jemy Confido.

Increase the number of sellers and products

In addition to expanding relationships with communities, SMEs, and other related parties, Blanja utilizes the Telkom Group ecosystem to provide Telkom's digital products. This includes IndiHome and Wifi.id.

"In the future we also plan to provide product registration and payment smart home all of which are included in the Telkom Group ecosystem," said Jemy.

Customers who have shopped also have the opportunity to get various raffle prizes by exchanging Blanja Coins which are reward in the form of virtual coins that can be exchanged for prizes.

Asked how many active Blanja users are currently, Jemy was reluctant to say further. Overall Blanja has around 50 thousand sellers brand and non-branded.

"Taking advantage of eBay's vast resources, we give buyers the option to get a wide variety of products from Blanja partners specifically, as well as a variety of featured products from eBay," said Jemy.
