Complete "Digital Supply Chain" Integration, Bizzy Temporarily Closes Marketplace Service

The b2b marketplace business is Bizzy's first line since it first started operating in 2015

Bizzy temporarily closed service marketplace b2b is signed starting this month. product catalog removed from the site and the purchasing service for corporate consumers is temporarily suspended. This is the first business that Bizzy has started since the company established since 2015, before expanding to other services.

To DailySocial, CEO of Bizzy Group Andrew Mawickere explained, this closure is only temporary. It plans to reopen in the fourth quarter of 2020 with various system improvements backend.

"We're not closing. But in terms of priority development will be present again in the fourth quarter of this. We want to focus on areas that are developing much faster and with much greater potential," he said, Wednesday (15/1).

He continued, this decision was taken because the company wanted to perfect the system integration back-end marketplace, especially digital supply chains so that more seamless pattern when used by corporate consumers. The UI/UX appearance will also be improved.

This digital supply chain has actually been built by Bizzy for Tokosmart services, only for grocery store consumers. "If you see digital supply chains, Tokosmart it's also the same procurement activities. The difference is only the target segment, this is more MSMEs, while Bizzy Marketpalce is for medium to high-end companies."

The change in Bizzy Marketplace's business actually has a spirit that is more or less the same as Tokosmart, namely cutting the chain of sub distributors and wholesalers with technology to make the procurement process more efficient and transparent.

He gave an example, one of Bizzy's corporate consumers is Alfamart and Indomaret. In the procurement of goods, by improving the system, it is hoped that they can directly buy supplies from distributor companies that have partnered with Bizzy.

"They need to buy things from the principal, but window the purchase does not use UI Tokosmart because it is more MSME. That's why UI/UX Bizzy Commerce will be us revamp again."

In the development of Bizzy Marketplace, there are 14 categories provided for corporates from various industries. Not only selling office supplies, there are decorations and household electronics, industrial electronics, furniture furniture, MRO, automotive and transportation, horeca equipment, and many more.

Bizzy ecosystem strengthening plan

Bizzy Group does not only play in the realm of the b2b marketplace, but extends from upstream to downstream. There is Bizzy Consolidation, Bizzy Logistics, and Bizzy Distribution. The Tokosmart is included in the last section.

Tokosmart is a procurement application for grocery store consumers to make it easier to stock up on goods. The spirit offered through Tokosmart is the convenience of store owners to buy goods that are sold directly by distributor companies that are officially appointed by the principal brand.

"What makes us different is that we work with principals so that the supply of goods in the market in terms of price is not damaged. Brands really maintain prices because they are closely related to brand equity."

This service has been inaugurated since May 2019, as of the end of last year, it has earned 46 thousand grocery store owners spread across 29 cities throughout Indonesia. Andrew targets to increase the number of consumers to 100 thousand stores by the end of this year.

The product category is also expanded not only to the principal brand of FMCG, but also to medicine over the counter (free to sell without a doctor's prescription), personal care, stationery, and so on.

"Because of the digital platform supply chain leaders what we build, the solution is not only relevant only for FMCG, but for other principal brands from other categories."

For other ecosystems, Bizzy will soon release Truckway and Bizzy Field Force (BFF) to complement Bizzy Logistics. All of these services are based on digital applications, but the purpose of their use has its own target.

For example, Truckway is used by logistics actors or distributors who have a bus fleet to make it easier to plan routes for delivering goods to grocery stores to be more efficient.

Meanwhile, BFF is to help marketers from distribution companies when site visits which grocery stores to go to and what items they can sell. Both of these applications can be downloaded on Google Play and the App Store, but have not been officially announced because they are still in the iteration and development stage.

"Because in the end we want to help principals supply goods efficiently to consumers minus one. Now that requires distribution companies, most of which are still traditional in running their business, so they are not efficient."

From all of Bizzy's business plans that will be carried out this year, they will also touch on the financial element to help grocery stores make it easier to get business capital. Andrew said that in the third quarter, the company will cooperate with banks to make it happen.

"We want to attract banks that really focus on MSME financing because they have competitive interest rates and can encourage shop owners to develop. Later, there will be an algorithm for their transactions in Bizzy to determine which ones are risk profile eligible for business loans."

Currently, transactions at Tokosmart use cash payment options, bank transfers, credit that can be paid two weeks later, and LinkAja. "Next month (February) want to add options with players digital wallets others such as Ovo and GoPay," concluded Andrew.
