East Ventures Participates in Avium's Pre-Employed Funding

Avium raised $2 million in pre-start funding, this round was led by Saison Capital

East Ventures participates in pre-start funding Avium amounting to $2 million approximately Rp29,8 billion. Led by Saison Capital, this round was also injected by Mirana Ventures and a number of angel investors, such as Ricky Ow (former CEO of WarnerMedia), Hepmil Media Group (SGAG/MGAG/PGAG).

Avium originated in Singapore which was founded by Ivan Yeo, Nathanael Lim, and Eugene Yap. For your information, Ivan previously founded the company eSports EVOS, while Nathanael is a lawyer who handles global technology companies, such as Huobi, Binance, and Facebook. Meanwhile, Eugene Yap is a former strategic consultant with experience in handling large projects including Morgan Stanley and Partners Group.

"We recognize that studios in Southeast Asia deserve better success in the IP field (intellectual property). We already know their work on a global scale, but they haven't been able to showcase the entire spectrum of their work to be recognized by the industry. Through this funding, they are ready to show their work, and we are ready to strengthen that," said Avium Co-Founder Ivan Yeo. the blog.

Avium will be a gathering place for the entire ecosystem, including creators and producers, who work on animated content in various formats. This ecosystem includes processes end-to-end start from (1) development original content from the studio; via advertisement, digital artist, team rendering, to producer; (2) media and product creation consumer (via comics, animation, and merchandise); and (3) distribution through media networks (creator content and channels eSports).

Partner at Saison Capital Chris Sirise added, "founding team at Avium already has a track record of attracting the best creative talent and gathering talent fans in the region through the best content. The Web3 infrastructure will help bring this all together by incentivizing the community fairly," he said.

Content development

Through this funding, Avium will build the largest studio network in Southeast Asia by leveraging the Web3 infrastructure. It will develop entertainment brands to original content.

Meanwhile, Caravan Studios and Circle Studio are among the leading regional animation companies that have joined the Avium ecosystem. Caravan has developed IP for various brand big ones, like Marvel Comics, Netflix, Prime Video, Lego, Legends of Runterra, and Clash Royale. Meanwhile, Circle has been working on IP for Valve, Tencent, Dota, and Mobile Legends.

Avium offers a collection of NFT Founders' Passes designed to incentivize creative teams and studios developing brand on Avi. Founders' Pass holders give business owners, creators and artists access to an exclusive community that builds brand Avium together founding team.

This means they will be part of the founding members of Avium who are also entitled to co-develop studios and producers by leveraging the brand. So far, Avium has pocketed more than 10 thousand follower from various social media.
