Angon.id Provides a Bridge between Investors and Breeders

Make it easier for urban communities to invest in high-quality sheep and cattle breeds

Angon.id debuted since October 2016. Combining investment startup concept (fintech) at the same time agriculture (agtech), This Indigo-assisted start-up is trying to provide online services to connect smallholder farmers with urban communities. If you've ever heard of the concept of an agricultural startup business iGrow, the concept is almost the same, the difference is in the object of investment, namely cattle and sheep farming.

Angon.id allows the general public to invest in livestock without having to own a cage. Using the Angon.id application service, users only need to disburse a certain amount of funds in accordance with the agreement to be distributed to farmers who are already Angon.id's business partners. From the explanation of the Angon.id team, the average investor gets return on investment (ROI) of about 5-10 percent per three months.

Led by Co-founder & CEO Agif Arianto, currently Angon has accommodated more than 11 livestock managed by the People's Animal Husbandry Center (SPR) owned by business partners and owned by the Angon.id team. The SPR is now spread across various regions, from Semarang, Bogor, Sukoharjo, to Sumbawa.

Angon.id application working process

For investors who want to raise livestock at Angon.id, after downloading the application, the user is required to do the following: upgrade profile to be full-services, namely ensuring that all personal data information is filled in properly. Then you have to fill in your TMoney balance to make a transaction. In particular, currently Angon.id has also partnered with services fintech owned by Telkom (TMoney) to fully support the transaction system in the application.

When logged into the application, users will be accompanied by a virtual assistant named Pak Arto. The virtual assistant will provide directions to the user. Starting from choosing the type of animal selected, to providing information about investment and transaction processing. Membership at Angon.id itself consists of three types, namely Angon Member, Breeder Member and Cage/Seedling Investor Member, each of which has a different involvement.

Want to reach 50 SPR in 2020

Through its application, Angon.id hopes that investments to the grassroots can encourage the distribution of money circulation, which is currently mostly concentrated in cities. So that rural communities in the area can live in prosperity without having to go to the city to look for work, one of which is by becoming a farmer. Angon.id's goal is that in 2020 there will be at least 50 SPRs included in its network, this is in line with the mission to help the government prepare jobs for the demographic bonus that year.

To ensure service quality, referring to ISO 9001 standardization, Angon.id consistently certifies smallholder farmers as a form of increasing quality competitiveness that is globally acceptable. In order to achieve this certification, one of the highlights in Angon.id are experienced breeders and healthy livestock breeds.

In general, what Angon.id manages is to create opportunities for cooperation between farmers and the community as investors. With this process, the productivity of farmers is expected to continue to increase to ensure the welfare of the farmers themselves, and also provide benefits for investors.
