This Year's Alibaba eFounder Fellowship is Joined by 16 Indonesian Startup Founders

Derived from the e-commerce, logistics, financial technology, tourism and big data landscapes

After 2018 represented by 4 selected startups from Indonesia, eFounder Fellowship again invites startups from Indonesia. This event is a collaborative program of The United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) and Alibaba Business School

The program, which was formed within the framework of the "2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development," aims to ensure that no country is left behind in the digital economy era by bridging the digital divide faced by companies in developing countries.

This program is also a form of Jack Ma's commitment, Executive Chairman and founder of Alibaba Group and special advisor to UNCTAD, to nurture 1000 entrepreneurs from various developing countries over the next five years. The eFounders Fellowship program reflects Alibaba's mission to develop small and medium-sized entrepreneurs to compete internationally.

From the curation process carried out, 16 startups from Indonesia managed to become participants, representing various industries including: E-commerce, logistics, financial technology, tourism, and big data. Upon graduation, they will become members of the eFounders Fellows, an exclusive community of young entrepreneurs who aim to drive digital transformation in their country.
