Alibaba Announces AsiaStar 10x10 Final Nominations

Startups in the Southeast Asia region have again succeeded in attracting global attention. Thanks to the growing growth of the digital industry and the potential economic demographic, the startup ecosystem in this region deserves appreciation. As part of the Project AsiaForward initiative, Alibaba Cloud welcomes the diverse achievements of various technology entities, by partnering with a number of partners in the technology ecosystem from Southeast Asia.

Through AsiaStar 10x10, the initiative awards top 100 companies, communities and projects across ten categories from the region. 1. Trailblazers This category is filled by companies that have received series-B funding up to pre-IPO, which have played an essential role in advancing the technology ecosystem in the region. 2. Gamechangers Is a category filled by companies that have successfully set records related to corporate actions in the Southeast Asian region such as; IPO Grab, Bukalapak IPO, merger between Gojek and Tokopedia, the explosive growth of GCash, Avant Meat's A-series funding, global expansion of TiNDLE, acquisition of 2C2P by Ant Financial, expansion of VinFast EV into the North American market as well as two companies listed on the US stock exchange such as Society Pass (NASDAQ) and PropertyGuru (NYSE).

Growth Early-stage startups that are known to have developed innovative and unique products and solutions, and succeeded in obtaining B-series funding such as; ProfilePrint, SariSuki, AiTreat, Rovula, Duckie Land, Eatcosys, GlobalTrack Smart Logistics, PolicyStreet, Speedwork Autocare, and KAMEREO.

5. Explorers This category is filled by startups from China who have succeeded in establishing strong fundamentals in the region such as; PingCAP, Cyclone, Dianxiaomi, Agora, J&T Express, SUNMI, Hago, Mobvista, 37GAMES, and TapTap.

6.Open Source Is a category intended for projects that have accelerated digital development in the region by providing initiatives and tools that can be used for the development of new applications such as; ABYRES, Bluzelle, LottieFiles, MAPID, NukeViet, Somleng, SpaceChain, Supabase, Unicorn, and UniKey.

7. Frontiers This category contains startups that are claimed to have developed products with the latest technology such as quantum computing technology, biotech & medical advancements, space-tech, and others. Startups in this category are; Baiya Phytopharm, Cortical Labs, EyRIS, Gero, MiRXES, Nusantics, SpeQtral, Transcelestial, WIR Group, and Yobite.

8.Impact This category is filled by startups that have significant growth from grassroots to advanced scales such as; Agrabah Ventures, Amaan, Bidanku, Magorium, Mio, Saora Industries, Sati App, Super, Umitron, and Zennya.

9. Launchpads This category is filled by startups in the field of education, incubators, and accelerators that have provided an environment for startup growth such as; BLOCK71 (NUS), CU Innovation Hub, Draper Startup House, IMDA Innovation Team, Indigo, QBO Innovation Hub, ScaleUp Malaysia, SMU Institute of Innovation & Entrepreneurship (SMU IIE), UEH Institute of Innovation (UEH UII), and UPSCALE Innovation Hub .
