After Obtaining Seed Funding, Minutes Barber is Ready to Transform Business

The focus on digitizing personal services business, currently only reaching the barbershop, salon, spa and similar categories

App developer mobile devices manager booking Barber Minutes recently received funding. Precisely the funding was obtained from Prasetia Dwidharma, an investment company owned by the President Commissioner of PT Astra Internasional Budi Setiadharma. A number of angel investors join in seed funding this time. This achievement was obtained because Minutes became the best 3 in the Indigo Creative Nation startup incubator.

According to Minutes CEO Angki Rinaldy, this funding will be focused on developing additional features to streamline business processes with partners. In addition, the recruitment of team members will also be the focus of Minutes in the future. Currently, Minutes is focusing on one service, namely barbershop, with additional capital, it is now planning to expand vertically to other categories, such as salons, spas, bro house and its kind.

Minutes becomes a wider application platform

Like Go-Jek which has various services in it, Minutes seems to be heading that way. Some time in the future it will soon launch Minutes 2.0. In this application there will be several categories personal services business which can be selected. From the vertical categories that are currently planned to be added, namely Minutes Barber, Minutes Salon, Minutes Spa and others.

"With launching this 2.0 application at once we will do re-branding from Minutes Barber to Minutes," said Angki.

Previously with Minutes Barber, his party provided an integrated service that made it easier for users to get schedules booking at the barbershop. Several features such as Online Booking, Quick Book, and Smart Notification are added to connect barber partners with application users.

Optimistic about the development of startups in Indonesia

Currently service on-demand and E-commerce continues to try to transform various elements in everyday life. Various types of unique startups such as Minutes Barber also mushroomed. Nevertheless, Angki, representing his team, is optimistic about the potential that digital innovators can continue to crush to embrace the digital market in Indonesia.

"With the large population of Indonesia and the large number of people who enter into small and medium-sized businesses, there are many gap that can be used by tech-startups in Indonesia," said Angki.

According to Angki, when a startup already has the right vision related to the products and business models it offers, then the opportunity is real. In more detail, he said that what is in the DNA of a startup service is how it is able to solve common problems in society more effectively and efficiently.

"Startups can have a greater chance of success if the products they develop actually solve real problems and they can be observant enough to exploit them. gap existing and provide services that have never existed or were thought of before," concluded Angki.
