Adi Sarana Armada Strengthens Digital Transformation in the Automotive Sector

PT Adi Sarana Armada Tbk (IDX: ASSA) will strengthen the digitization of services in the automotive sector through its three business models on the JBA Indonesia, Caroline.id and Cartalog platforms. The company provided a loan to Autopedia Sukses Lestari worth Rp225 billion to realize the plan.

In his official statement some time ago, Director Adi Sarana Fleet Jany Candra said that the company is trying to accommodate the increasing trend of buying and selling used cars globally online. This trend is increasing in line with the acceleration of digital adoption since the Covid-19 pandemic last year.

Contacted separately, Jany revealed that she is currently preparing a number of plans for the development of the three platforms by taking advantage of the momentum of digital transformation in Indonesia.

One of the focuses is to provide a better service experience and improve the digital-based automotive ecosystem that is integrated with the latest technology. This strategy is expected to improve ASL's operations in the automotive sector and provide positive performance to the parent company.

"Currently, we are still focused on developing existing businesses and strengthening the company's fundamentals by making digital-based technological innovations. However, we still have to see future business developments when we talk about the possibility of collaboration with platforms that have a large digital ecosystem," he said. to DailySocial.id.

Adi Sarana Armada started its business from vehicle rental with a national network. Currently, Adi Sarana has various business lines, namely vehicle rental, vehicle auction services, driver provision services, and end-to-end logistics services.

As of the third quarter of 2021, JBA Indonesia has auctioned 75.000 vehicles, more than 20.000 users, and more than 50.000 downloads on the Google Play Store. Caroline recorded transactions of more than 100 cars, and has 1.000 app downloads on the Play Store, while Cartalog still has 5.000 downloads.

Furthermore, Jany revealed that the covid-19 pandemic encourage the acceleration of buying and selling vehicles in Indonesia. In fact, the interest of the Indonesian people in buying and selling used vehicles through the marketplace has also increased.

He gave an example of the achievement of JBA Indonesia, which at that time had implemented an online auction in 2020. The company recorded sales of 44.000 cars in 2020, an increase of 19% from the previous year through the JBA platform.
