Accelerating Asia Again Announces Fostered Startups, HealthPro Selected Participants from Indonesia

Accelerating Asia has coached 60 startups and raised a total investment of over $50 million

Accelerating Asia, a venture capitalist and early-stage startup accelerator program, again announced the 10 selected startups for Cohort 7. The participants came from various countries, starting from South Asia (Bangladesh, Pakistan), Southeast Asia (Philippines, Myanmar, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand). , to East Asia (Korea).

This program is sector agnostic, startups from various industrial landscapes can participate. The selected startups in Cohort 7 are Cocotel, Hishabee, K-Link, Kooky.io, Safe Truck, Shoplinks, Easy Rice Digital Technology, BizB, Ulisse, and finally HealthPro From Indonesia.

In its official release, General Partner Accelerating Asia Amra Naidoo revealed that the new investment brought Accelerating Asia's portfolio to 60 startups and has accumulated a total investment of more than $50 million. Participants in Cohort 7 alone raised $5,2 million prior to joining the accelerator program.

The new investment in Cohort 7 also claims market traction and revenue growth with an average GMV of over $46.000 per month and an average monthly income of over $13.000.

"What we're seeing in Cohort 7 is a kind of success inflation. The XNUMX startups we invested in had significantly more gains in revenue, user acquisition, and other metrics typically associated with early-stage startups."

The startups that qualify for this latest cohort have previously gone through a rigorous curation process. There are around 600 startups registered in the program. That number has increased by 232% since the first batch to date.

Since 2019, Accelerating Asia has invested in more than 100 founders from 60 startups, making them one of the most active investors in pre-series A stage startups in Southeast and South Asia.

Focus on profitability

According to Co-founder and General Partner Craig Bristol Dixon, Accelerating Asia has always invested in businesses that can generate immediate cash and is focused on smart financial plans and founders who can monetize gaps in the market in the short term.

"In terms of investing we follow a simple strategy, firstly we return to organizations that can make money in any economic climate, both founders who can navigate any market conditions," said Dixon.

Accelerating Asia launched Fund II in 2021, Cohort 7 is the third wave investment for Fund II which will provide capital across all pre-series A startups in the Southeast and South Asia region.
