AC Ventures-BCG Research: Getting Mature, Indonesia's Fintech Industry Grows 6 Times

In the last decade, Indonesia has experienced a six-fold increase in the number of fintech players, from 51 in 2011 to 334 in 2022. This was revealed in a report entitled "Indonesia's Fintech Industry is A Sleeping Giant Ready to Rise" compiled by AC Ventures and the Boston Consulting Group (BCG).
the report revealed, initially, the growth of this sector was driven by the payment segment. However, the fintech landscape is increasingly diverse and dynamic, filled with lending, payment, and lending sectors wealthtech which is a promising industry in the future.
In addition, new segments in the fintech sector, such as SaaS and insurtech are increasingly emerging, showing that the fintech industry in Indonesia is getting more mature and moving towards more sophisticated products and services.
