XL Axiata and SK Planet Ready to Launch Elevenia Indonesia

As a result of the joint venture of PT XL Axiata and SK Planet from South Korea, PT XL Planet was formed which will be the operating parent for the e-commerce site. Elevenia. SK Planet is the holding company that operates 11st, one of the largest e-commerce sites in South Korea. With this joint venture, SK Planet and XL hope to bring 11th-tested experience and products to the Indonesian market.

Elevenia's own site is currently seen in early mode to gather sellers to open shops on their platform. More or less similar to the local startup concept Tokopedia which focuses as an e-commerce marketplace, or Rakuten which have entered the Indonesian market first. From the explanation on its website, it can be seen that Elevenia positions itself as an escrow service provider that bridges buyers and sellers.

From the website, it is clear that Elevenia provides several filters for those of you who want to become sellers like Elevenia, each new member is required to include an ID card and also a savings book as a verification step. Uniquely, Elevenia has several levels for transaction fees that occur on the Elevenia website which are distinguished by the category of goods sold by the seller. For the category of fashion, babies, household appliances, a 10% fee is charged, while for gadgets and electronics only a 5% fee is charged.

Compared to other similar sites, Elevenia does have a very different concept. Rakuten's business model, which provides a fairly expensive price for those of you who want to become a seller on its website, does not get a positive response from most sellers who prefer free solutions such as Tokopedia, Tokobagus or Kaskus. A business model like Elevenia can roughly look more attractive to sellers who are also given many facilities just by paying a transaction fee which is much fairer for both parties.

With a business model like this, Elevenia can be a solution that is in demand by more and more online sellers in Indonesia. Moreover, with the infrastructure assistance that XL Axiata already has, it can certainly be very helpful for Elevenia's development in Indonesia.
