Wavemaker Impact Ready to Add Portfolio in Southeast Asia
Just secured $15 million in additional funding from the US Development Finance Corporation
US Development Finance Corporation (DFC), a US government development finance agency, has invested US$15 million in Wavemaker Impact.
Wavemaker Impact itself is a climate technology venture capital based in Singapore covering Southeast Asia. Wavemaker Impact invests in startup which focuses on sustainability.
Quoted from The Business Times, this VC has invested in six companies, including in the field biochar for carbon storage, regenerative agriculture and sustainable fuels.
With these funds, Wavemaker Impact is said to increase its portfolio to 10 companies by the end of 2023 and 16 companies by the end of 2024.
