These are the 3 Best Graduates of the DSLaunchpad 2.0 Program

Chosen through Demo Day round on Wednesday, December 9, 2020

DSLaunchpad 2.0 Demo Day Round has been completed. In the last phase of the startup acceleration program organized by DailySocial.id and supported by Amazon Web Services (AWS), the selected 3 startup with predicate BestGraduates aka the best graduate of the DSLaunchpad 2.0 acceleration program. The three best graduate startups are entitled to receive the main prize in the form of cash worth a total of IDR 100 million, with the distribution of IDR 50 million for Best Graduate I, IDR 30 million for Best Graduate II, and IDR 20 million for Best Graduate III.

In the Demo Day round which was held online on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at 13.00 - 15.00 WIB, the 10 best participants of the DSLaunchpad 2.0 program who had previously been selected pitched in front of the judges consisting of Edy Sulistyo (CEO of Go-Play), Shinta Nurfauzia (Co-CEO and Co-Founder of Lemonilo), Johnny Widodo (CEO of OLX Autos Indonesia), On Lee (CTO of GDP Venture), and Budiman Wikarsa (Head of Startups Ecosystem – Indonesia, AWS).

The assessment criteria used as a reference for selecting the best graduates in the Demo Day round are as follows: Problems are tried to figure out, The technology is used, Business model, UI / UXand The pitch presentation. Through a difficult assessment process, the judges finally chose 3 startups that were entitled to the title of Best Graduate, the results are as follows.

Best Graduate I - Schoters

This startup is engaged in education whose business model focuses on helping users to prepare for undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral studies abroad. Starting from language preparation, looking for campuses and scholarships, to visa processing and other document administration. When pitching in the Demo Day DSLaunchpad 1, Radyum Ikono as Co-Founder and CEO said that currently Schoters also has more than 2 thousand users, and has helped its users to be accepted in more than 3 universities in 2.0 countries. With the title of Best Graduate I, Schoters is entitled to win a cash prize of IDR 300 million.

Best Graduate II - Scrapiro

This Jakarta-based startup provides services to connect waste owners with garbage collectors in the vicinity, to facilitate waste recycling transactions. In developing the application, they also use a geolocation system and live chat bot, and use WhatsApp as a means of communication to make it easier for users to use their services. By becoming the Best Graduate II, Scrapiro is entitled to win a cash prize of IDR 30 million.

Best Graduate III - Tebengan Indonesia

This startup is engaged in transportation, by describing itself as a marketplace for buying and selling empty seats for inter-city trips. Tebengan Indonesia is a ridesharing app that finds drivers and passengers in the same neighborhood going in the same direction to organize a tebengan trip together. With the title of Best Graduate III, Tebengan Indonesia is entitled to win a cash prize of Rp. 20 million.

DailySocial.id and AWS as the organizers congratulated the best graduates of the DSLaunchpad 2.0 acceleration program. Hopefully the prizes and awards received can be a driving force to develop and improve the quality of their startups in order to provide better services for users and society in general. DailySocial.id and AWS also thank all founders who have participated in this program. Starting from 736 founders who have registered, 118 startup who managed to become selected participants to take part in a series of main programs, up to Top 10 participants who has the right to pitch in the Demo Day round.
