Plug and Play Accelerator Program Reopens for Indonesian Startups

Registration is done online and will close on October 31, 2017

Plug and Play, a startup accelerator and venture capital firm from Silicon Valley, again invites local startups to join its acceleration program. Targeting startups that are in the early stages, the general requirement to enter the accelerator program is quite simple, namely already having a product alpha/beta.

In collaboration with Gan Kapital, Plug and Play has been present in Indonesia since last November 2016.

In this program, startups that register must also be based in Indonesia. This is done considering that Plug and Play Indonesia is committed to supporting government programs that want to make Indonesia the center of the digital economy by 2020. To enter this program, startup founders will go through several screening processes, starting from complete documents, to pitching in front of the jury consisting of the internal Plug and Play team, investors, to the C-Level of partner corporations.

Registration for this program can be done via the Plug and Play site at bit.ly/applypnp2 before 31 October 2017.

In Indonesia, Plug and Play, in collaboration with local partner Gan Konsulindo (GK) and operating since November 2016, has graduated 9 startups batch the first, namely Astronaut, Safe, Bustiket, DANAdidik, Karta, KYCK, Otospector, Sayurbox, and Wonderworx last September.

“Until now, we are actively looking for potential startups in Indonesia to join our program. At least there will be more than 200 startups that register. We will not limit the number of entries as long as the startup has the potential to have a positive impact on Indonesia," said Gan Konsulindo President Director Wesley Harjono.

In this program that runs for 3 months, selected startups will get various facilities. Starting from seed funding, mentorship, coworking space free access, access to Silicon Valley, and opportunities for cooperation with corporations. Currently, Plug and Play Indonesia has 4 corporate partners, namely Astra International, BNI, BTN, and Sinar Mas.

We provide comprehensive facilities so that this startup can focus on product development. The hope is that after graduating from this program they are really ready to to market and receive further funding,” Wesley continued.
