Pundit Audio Conversation App Officially Launched, Coming Soon to Asian Market

Pundit audio based community chat app officially launched to the public at the same time as his debut at Startup Battlefield TechCrunch Disrupt San Francisco after previously being released in the version beta. In addition to demonstrating his work, Pundit Co-founder Billy Shaw Susanto also explained that in the near future Pundit will soon launch for users in the Asian region. In addition, the Android version will also be launched soon. As is known at this time Pundit is only available for iOS platform only.

pundit allows users to start short conversations with recorded voices, known as "Pundit Talks" on their favorite topics they follow. Each person is only entitled to submit his/her voice within 30 seconds of voice recording time. To add to the fun of using, several sound effects such as robots, cartoon squirrels to monsters are also added, like a sound filter.

"I call it ADD-Generation, this generation doesn't enjoy podcast as much, let's say like they play on Snapchat," said Billy, CEO of Pundit.

In the belief of the Pundit team, in the era social and mobile-first as today, interactive media such as music, photos and videos have evolved. And now Pundit wants to take voice-based conversations to a more enjoyable level, namely to make them interactive and light to carry.

Make your voice fun again

In the app pundit, users can listen talkshow short according to his favorite topic, otherwise known as "Pundit Talks". Every followers topics can respond to the chatter, by recording a voice with a duration of 30 seconds. This short duration was deliberately created so that people who want to participate can focus on conveying the context of the conversation and providing a sense of comfort for the listeners.

The model can also be answered, so that when listened to in sequence, it will build an interactive virtual chat atmosphere. In each recording Pundit can also add various features. In addition to the voice filter, users can also add background music to complement the tone of voice according to the user's emotions. There is also a Pundit Voicebox feature for private conversations, and messages will automatically expire after 24 hours.

Targeting creators and brand developing audio content

In addition to community-based interactions, Pundit also targets commercial users to brand to talk about their products through interactive audio conversations. It is also believed that there will be Punditer creators (ala YouTouber) who work through audio conversation media. This will also be triggered to grow the interaction in the Pundit application.

Founder from Indonesia and incubation at Disney Accelerator

Pundit was founded by three Co-Founders who graduated from New York University, namely Chris Aston, Jason Ji, and Billy Shaw Susanto. One of the Co-Founders who is also the CEO of Pundit Billy Susanto is an Indonesian student who migrated to the land of Uncle Sam. Pundit was born and raised in the Techstars-backed Disney Accelerator.

Being in Disney's incubation environment helped Pundit embrace some brand big like ABC and Hollywood Record for version beta-his. So that the application had time to display Ask-Me-Anything (AMA) sessions such as Comic Con New York, ABC Family. This achievement also brought more than 40.000 users to the Pundit session.
