Sribu's Design Crowdsourcing Service Gets Series A Funding from Infoteria Japan

Design crowdsourcing service Sribu announced the acquisition of Series A funding obtained Japanese Infoteria. Infoteria is a public company that makes software for the segment enterprise. It is not stated how much the investment will be or whether Infoteria will sit on the board of directors, but Sribu will use it to support Southeast Asia's regional expansion.

Sribu currently has more than 37.000 registered designers and has served more than 1000 clients, both SMEs and companies in various industries in the Southeast Asia region. In a press release, Sribu's CEO Ryan Gondokusumo stated, "With the presence of Infoteria as an investor and partner, we will be able to help accelerate the growth of Sribu. As a company that has go public in Japan, Infoteria has the knowledge and know-how broad scope in building a solid company and profitable."

Infoteria was founded in 1998 as the first software company in Japan to focus on XML. Infoteria manufactures and markets software and services to connect devices and computers in the enterprise world. Infoteria's main product, “ASTERIA” has been used by more than 4.000 medium and large companies (as of December 2013). Infoteria's popular product is “Handbook” -- a catalog product for sale and available for all popular smartphone platforms.

This is the second funding received by Sribu after previously in February 2012 obtaining initial funding from East Ventures. Keep it up update the system with multilingual support and online payment system. Sribu has also developed affiliate system. This design crowdsourcing service was the winner of the 2011 Sparxup Awards for the Best User Generated Content category.
