Makmuri Sports Officially Joins as UangTeman's CTO

Will be responsible for developing technology and leading a team of 40 engineers and products

Having previously served as Kudo's CTO, Makmuri Sukan is now officially occupying a new position as CTO in the service fintech MoneyFriends. In a release received by DailySocial The inclusion of Sports in the C-Level ranks at UangTeman is part of the expansion plan in Indonesia and Southeast Asia, as well as the process of finalizing the Series B funding.

"UangTeman has consistently set standards for the industry so that it can implement transparency and responsibility related to online microlending in Indonesia. I really welcome the opportunity to be able to work with Aidil and the team at UangTeman, in order to improve and do standard scale-up throughout Southeast Asia, in accordance with UangTeman's vision and goals to support the region underbanked safe, transparent and easy access to financial services," said Sukan.

Later, Sports will be responsible for developing technology for UangTeman's financial services, including: credit underwriting, disbursements, and collections. Sports will also lead 40 teams engineer and products on UangTeman.

Money Friend's expansion focus

Prior to his position as CTO at Kudo, Sukan also served as CEO of Kaskus, a consultant at various well-known companies, and also served as Vice President of Internet Banking Technology at Bank of America. Educational background and experience as a professional for more than 20 years are considered very in line with UangTeman's current vision and mission.

Founded in 2015, UangTeman claims to have experienced fairly steady growth with more than $18 million digitally recorded micro-loans. UangTeman also experienced a growth of up to 300% in 2016, and that number increased to 400% in 2017. At the end of 2017, UangTeman has announced pivot fully become a company p2p loans. This transfer was carried out by Uang Teman in line with the receipt of a registered certificate at the OJK in accordance with POJK No. 77/2016.
