Pakaruto Jobs Marketplace Meets Workers and Factory Owners Online

Plans to implement blockchain technology, has collaborated with 10 factories and has a candidate number of 47 thousand people

One of the jobs that are sought after by the people of Indonesia is factory workers. The magnitude of this opportunity, especially in cities outside Jakarta, has been exploited by Pakaruto, a platform jobportal special for employees blue necklace or workers in Indonesia.

To DailySocial, Founder & CEO of Pakaruto Cayadi Sutanto said, Pakaruto begins from Applicant Tracking System for companies in Cikarang. The many problems that arose in the course of implementation were the main reason why Pakaruto was founded.

"Currently job seekers have three pintu as an alternative. Pintu those are registered agents, special employment agencies, and other local agencies. Registered agent means a company licensed by the Ministry of Manpower. Job seekers go to each registered agent and go through a different recruitment and interview process, depending on the process at each agency."

Cayadi continued, the work center is an extension of the secondary school network carrying out the process assessment part. Passing the first test continues to the next test. The test can take place in layers. Other local agencies provide placement services for a fee. The amount of the fee also varies depending on the local agent. Job seekers have to spend a lot of money for this service, it may even continue after being accepted for work. To solve this problem, Pakaruto built a Verified Labor Pool.

"During this time, verified data belonging to job seekers can be accessed by job seekers. Pakaruto through a registered agent helps ensure employment-free status, medical tests, police certificates, BPJS status. Factory recruitment work is only a final interview and hiring,' said Cayadi.

To ensure that the job seeker data is accurate and cannot be updated or added, Pakaruto plans to implement blockchain technology on the platform. Technology Smart contract considered to be able to minimize job seekers who are not in accordance with the history of work experience they have.

"Later on, if we have implemented blockchain technology, we will charge the employer. Currently it is still free," said Cayadi.

Pakaruto's monetization strategy and targets

By prioritizing the business model freemium, prospective workers can register and view job vacancies for free. Paid plans are offered to job seekers who want to get access to job vacancies and priority calls for work. The fee charged is IDR 150 thousand for one year as a fee assessment and employment placement services for a year. Currently Pakaruto has 10 factories that have collaborated, with a total of 47 thousand candidates. Seven thousand candidates have become priority members and five thousand have been accepted by employers.

"Pakaruto has a target to increase cooperation with factories in the West Java area and reach 100 thousand prospective registered workers. The target is 70% of verified workers are working," concluded Cayadi.
