Zalora Indonesia CEO Nadiem Makarim Resigns

We have just received information that Nadiem Makarim, CEO of zalora belongs to Rocket Internet will resign from his position. He has been with the German company since the end of last year and helped set up the first Rocket Internet Indonesia team and launched 5 sites in the last 3 months.

Nadiem leads the operations of the fashion-specific e-commerce site Zalora Indonesia. Nadiem is also the CEO of Go-Jek, an ojek transportation service in Jakarta that has recently focused on logistics, where Go-Jek is also a logistics partner of Zalora and Lazada.

We don't have any additional information about the reason for this resignation and who will replace him, but considering the challenges that are being faced by Zalora Indonesia, they must get a new CEO as soon as possible, especially considering the focus of the company that is building a team. We've also heard that Nadiem will be leaving Zalora completely within a few weeks, once the transition period between him and the new CEO is complete.
