Interview with Fara Abdullah as Managing Director of Bitsmedia, the publisher company of Muslim Pro

As an application that brings utility and lifestyle to global Muslims, Muslim pro turned out to have special attention to Indonesia. As a market with 16 million users, Muslim Pro has become the application of choice for the community to meet various needs - especially in terms of Islamic features and content.

The platform of choice for the Muslim community

Starting from a Muslim Pro utility that puts forward technology to bring relevant features to Muslims globally, now they have several features that are often used by Muslims for other needs. Starting from the call to prayer or prayer times, to the Qur'an that can be enjoyed directly in the application.

These two excellent features have become familiar to their target users. In Indonesia, the most widely used feature is the Qur'an. Using the Muslim Pro application, reading activities are often carried out by Muslims in Indonesia personally and by various communities.

During a pandemic when all activities offline restricted, the use of Muslim Pro is claimed to be increasing. Especially for those who want to take advantage of this free time by increasing their faith, taking advantage of all the features in the application.

"We always listen to all the needs of users. For that in the future we want to do localization for the Indonesian market. What we have done is collaborate with related parties using the call to prayer feature with Ustadz Syamsuddin Nur Makka and Teuku Wisnu," said Fara.

Ahead of Ramadan, Muslim Pro will also prepare interesting features and of course useful for Muslims. One of them is by organizing a campaign or activity check-in every day for users who access the Muslim Pro application.

Besides Mulsim Pro, there are actually several similar applications from developers in Indonesia. For example Local Halal, Umma, Impressions, and others.

Curated content feature

To add to the existing features, in the future Muslim Pro also has plans to add content features that are relevant for Muslims globally. Thus, it is hoped that Muslim Pro can be a reference for those who want to get information related to the Muslim lifestyle in various countries.

Asked whether it will be in the form of an aggregator, Fara emphasized that it is still not possible to conclude what kind of content they will present. However, to provide quality content, Muslim Pro will collaborate with content writers.

"There is an opportunity for us to grow to serve Muslims. Started as a utility and then evolved into a lifestyle application and is still in the technology space. Content can be tools good, what is the shape long form or short form content, said Fara.

Bitsmedia, a Singapore-based company managed to build Muslim Pro. In the future, the company wants to make the Muslim Pro application a global application with more than 120 million users worldwide.

Focusing on being a lifestyle app for Muslims globally, Muslim Pro has no plans to add new features such as trade to other related services targeting the halal market. Muslim Pro monetization strategy can still be used for free. However, for users who want to enjoy more in-depth services and features, they can take advantage of their premium services.

"As faith base app We are quite proud to be the first platform to bring all the relevant features for Muslims. Going forward, we have many plans to provide quality content and other features for the community," said Fara.
