Marc Whitten, the Brain Behind Xbox Officially Leaves Microsoft

There has been a major overhaul in Microsoft's cabinet structure, and we hope they will make this transition successful.

After getting new CEO, two high-ranking person leave Microsoft, Jason Holtmann which was expected to improve the service online they also left in a short time, and now it's the turn of the Xbox boss to resign.

Marc Whitten has been with Microsoft since they launched consul first in 2000. Responsible as Chief Product Officer, the hard work of Whitten and his team led to three generations of Xbox while establishing Xbox Live as a community online largest in the world with 48 million people from 41 different countries.

Working [under the Microsoft umbrella] is an unforgettable part of my career, to create a product I love so much. leaving this behind, but I'm confident that the fans will still have the best, under a very talented team."

Upon his death, Executive Vice President Terry Myerson will take over the interim leadership of the team. They will still focus on development software platforms Windows, Windows Phone and also Xbox. Myerson commented on Marc's resignation, "I am very grateful to Marc's leadership and the amazing team he has created. I am now working with Yusuf [Mehdi] and Phil [Spencer] while looking for a replacement."

Marc Whitten's next work is not directly related to the world hardware and game software, but still in the realm of entertainment. He is now in charge of Chief Product Officer at Sonos - a company focused on producing music systems to audio technology based in Santa Barbara, California.

"I've had a lot of fun working with Marc for over a decade. He's always had the future of Xbox in mind and focused on the fans and providing a platform for creators and developer can continue to create game interesting there," said Phil Spencer, Head of Microsoft Studios.

We don't know yet what the impact of Marc Whitten's resignation from Microsoft will be, but hopefully it won't affect the future of Xbox One and Microsoft Windows too much. We can only wish Marc and Microsoft the best. But don't worry, you can still play with Marc on Xbox Live with the nickname 'notwen'.
