Logisly Obtains Series A Funding of 87,7 Billion Rupiah, Led by Monk's Hill Ventures

The fresh funds will be used to strengthen the business by increasing the number of teams and expanding the network of users/partners

Aiming to expand and strengthen their business in Indonesia, logistics platform Logisly recently completed a series A funding of $6 million or equivalent to 87,7 billion Rupiah led by Monk's Hill Ventures. Co-Founder & CEO of Logisly Roolin Njotosetiadi revealed, the company's main focus going forward is to carry out a comprehensive digital process related to the logistics industry in Indonesia.

The company plans to use the fresh funds to increase the sales team and team vendor acquisitions to strengthen the network of shippers and partners as well as product and development. This includes providing tools for shippers or shippers and carrier partners to improve their business operations.

"In the long term, our goal is to create value by using technology to eliminate legacy systems, and focus on automation and efficiency. The less human work, the better and higher the margin," said Rollin.

In the future, the company also wants to open more routes to provide more business opportunities. This includes covering more FCL shipments (full container load) to the outer islands of Indonesia. Logisly will also continue to think about value creation for the ecosystem and see that smart decision making will be the focus when it comes to innovation.

Last August 2019, Logisly bagged initial funding. The investment round was led by SeedPlus, Genesis Ventures and Convergence Ventures. No mention of the nominal amount of funds obtained.

"Roolin and Robbi have made great strides in solving major inefficiencies in Indonesia's B2B logistics Industry and driving the long overdue digitization. The team's market-driven approach to technology combined with a streamlined and efficient operations center, delivers instant value to truckers and shippers that differentiates them with other players," said Monk's Hill Ventures Partner Justin Nguyen.

Logisly business development

Logisly also felt the growth of the logistics sector in Indonesia during the pandemic, as a platform that bridges the needs of users with truck transportation providers in Indonesia.

"Business has actually grown during the pandemic. Given our very lean, agile and diversified approach, we were able to shift focus and support shippers in sectors that saw strong growth such as e-commerce, healthcare, telecommunications and social assistance, for example. By optimizing our processes, we can drive positive contribution margins for the business." said Roolin

Logisly currently serves more than 300 shipping companies from various sectors, including FMCG, chemicals, construction and platforms E-commerce. With a network of more than 40 thousand trucks, Logisly provides users with 100% availability of trucks at affordable prices.
