Indonesia Cloud Forum Declares Indonesian Cloud Computing Association

Yesterday, in a day two associations related to the information technology industry were declared in Indonesia. Apart from the Indonesian E-commerce Association formed by various companies E-commerce in Indonesia, on Thursday last Thursday also declared the formation of the Association of Indonesian Cloud Computing Forum (AFKAI). AFKAI was declared by the Indonesian Cloud Forum (ICF) on the sidelines of the opening of the 2012 ICT Expo-Indocomm.

Teguh Prasetya, the initiator of the ICF, as quoted from IndoTelko articles, said that the ICF felt the need to upgrade its status from a forum to an association. AFKAI is expected to be one of the drivers of the use of cloud computing as a driving force for the national economy.

ICF has actually been formed since May 25, 2011. ICF is an independent and professional institution that is committed to continuing to educate the public and stakeholders about the importance of implementing cloud computing. ICF regularly organizes educational activities, seminars, discussions, exhibitions, as well as professional certification. This activity will be further intensified in 2012.

With the formation of AFKAI, it is hoped that ICF will be able to be more proactive and constructive in its role as an active industry partner, regulator, and user of cloud computing services.

Late last year, Amir predicts that cloud computing will only gain consumer trust in 2013. In line with Amir's analysis, it seems that the formation of this cloud computing association is one of the steps taken by cloud computing entrepreneurs to gain the trust of the public and the business world.
