Google is now part of Alphabet Inc.

Have you ever imagined a company as big as Google being 'acquired' by another company? Well, do not imagine, because it has happened. Google is now officially operating under the guidance of a company called Alphabet Inc.

Who are the people behind Alphabet Inc? Where did they get the money to just buy Google's assets? Turns out oh it turns out, Alphabet is the company that Larry Page and Sergey Brin announced in a press release.

Do these two names sound familiar? Yes, because they are the founding duo of Google, who currently serve as CEO and President of Alphabet Inc., respectively.

So, Google is not bankrupt and then acquired by another company, but is no longer the parent for all its affiliated companies. Google will still oversee various brand like Android, YouTube, Chrome or Google Maps, but companies like Nest, Fiber, Calico, X Labs and Sidewalk Labs now under Alphabet directly.

Since Larry Page is no longer the CEO at Google, a new leader is needed. As predicted, Sundar Pichai was finally officially appointed CEO of Google. The formation of Alphabet Inc will indirectly free up Google's movements in creativity.

In fact, that is the purpose of Alphabet Inc's establishment, namely so that all the companies under it can operate independently and develop brandeach. By far, Alphabet's largest subsidiary is Google itself, as shown on its official website, abc.xyz.
