GK-PnP Continues to Bridge Fostered Startups and Corporate Partners

Continuing the success of the first batch of acceleration program, Plug and Play together with Gan Kapital (GK-PnP) re-introduced their chosen startups that passed the second batch of acceleration program. Of the 13 startups that followed batch In this second, only 11 startups were announced to qualify for this stage pitching before government representatives and investors.

Managing Director GK-PnP Wesley Harjono revealed that there were internal problems and personal reasons that caused only 11 startups to pass in this second batch.

"There are also local startups that are still targeting fintech services with unique business models and are needed by the community," said Wesley.

Fostering partnerships with corporations

“We do not want to limit partners from the banking sector and financial institutions only. Furthermore, we will also open partnerships with various companies and governments who are interested in becoming GK-PnP partners," said Wesley.

This partnership is an opportunity for startups assisted by GK-PnP to verify the business model as well as conduct trials, before the official service is launched.

"Therefore, we will accept all the needs of partners in terms of technology, and how the startups assisted by GK-PnP can provide these solutions. We want to bridge the need  corporations with startups,” said Wesley.

So far there have been 8 pilot project that runs between GK-PnP fostered startups and corporate partners.

5. Hold Hands is a platform p2p loans which aims to provide short-term investment to help finance MSMEs.

6. Grigo: is an application that aggregates and manages waste collection and recycling services. This startup was first established in Bali.

7. Indogold is an online platform that helps users to invest in precious metals safely and flexibly. Starting from gold savings with the smallest weight of 0,001 grams, installment services for members, gold pawning, and so on. Indogold was previously Bukalapak's exclusive partner for BukaEmas services.

8. Manpro is a specialized application in field solutions project management, especially construction project documentation.

9. Check.id is a solution to improve the quality of services in the health sector to be more responsive, effective, and transparent. Users can write prescriptions, store media records, manage patient data through this platform.

10. Truck is a marketplace that can be used to find the best prices to meet the needs of trucks and cargo.

11. Weston providing renewable energy system solutions in remote areas in Indonesia. This system can be used by every house to get access to electricity with a payment system pay per use affordable price.
