GK-PnP Indonesia Opens Third Wave Acceleration Registration, Expands Vertical Startup

The Expo 2.0 event will be held on April 27, presenting a presentation session on selected startups in the second batch

GK-Plug and Play (GK-PnP) Indonesia announced that it is currently opening registration for local startups who are interested in participating in a series of batch 3 acceleration programs. The interesting thing that is reported is that currently GK-PnP Indonesia does not only focus on startups in the business sector. fintech and mobility only, but will also embrace a wider vertical, including in the areas of IoT, Agtech, and sustainability services.

This acceleration program targets startups that have stepped on seed stage, because of the vision that was brought to prepare the startup business to an advanced stage. Plug and Play itself is known as a global startup acceleration program that tries to present a Silicon Valley-style business education culture in various countries.

“Startups fintech will still be a trend, so will transportation. It's just that for the transportation sector, the realm will become even wider, not just moving people from one place to another, but the ease and level of comfort in moving goods or services in a holistic approach," said President Director of GK-PnP Indonesia Wesley Harjono .

Specialized in batch 3, in addition to vertical additions, GK-PnP Indonesia also announced the acceptance of startups at various levels in its program. If previously accepted startups were limited to seed stage startup, this time Wesley confirmed the possibility of startups at an advanced level to join the auspices of GK-PnP Indonesia.

“Besides helping startups seed stage, we also open pintu to later stage startup. For startups at an advanced level, what we put forward is more than just funding, but assistance and connection to corporate and government. The hope is that there will be extraordinary synergies that have a positive impact on society and the digital economy in Indonesia," added Wesley.

Interested startups can register through the official GK-PnP Indonesia website before 30 April 2018. Startups who want to get a more detailed picture of the acceleration program can also attend the Expo 2.0 event on 27 April 2018. Selected startups in batch 2 will present their products and business at the event. Further information and registration can be found at the link: http://bit.ly/pnpexpo2.

Until now, GK-PnP Indonesia has supported 20 local startups through an acceleration program that is routinely held in two waves every year. Currently, the acceleration program for the second batch of GK-PnP Indonesia is running and is scheduled to be completed this April. On April 27, GK-PnP Indonesia will hold a graduation ceremony for the eleven startups that have joined.
