Fully Supported by Telkom Group, RUN System Offers ERP Solutions for Companies

The Covid-19 pandemic has suddenly changed work culture and disrupted the wheels of business almost all over the world. In Indonesia alone, the Central Statistics Agency noted that more than 82 percent of businesses were affected. This causes companies to have to re-adapt to new habits in society, and this applies to all sectors.

Various types of work ranging from sales, purchasing, accounting, inventory, and collaboration must now coordinate with each other in order to achieve maximum work results. ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) technology is believed to be a solution to the complexities that plague companies. The service is capable of presenting business reports from online interactions real-time so that inter-departmental coordination can run more effectively and efficiently.

PT Global Sukses Solusi (RUNSystem) was founded in 2010; and since 2013 specializes in providing solutions ERP for medium to large scale businesses in the manufacturing, distribution and trade, and service industries. They also took part in the 2014 Indigo Incubator program held by PT Telkom Indonesia.

RUN System tries to realize a local solution that can solve global problems that are adapted to the situation, conditions and corporate culture in Indonesia which has its own uniqueness.

In 2015, Telkom made RUN System one of the Distribution Partners for ERP solutions for all of its customers in Indonesia. In addition, this Yogyakarta-based startup also received support from MDI Ventures and its managed funds Centauri Fund.

MDI Ventures Managing Partner Kenneth Li explained that investment in the RUN System is one form that is in line with the mission of the Telkom group in leading to competition in the market. while competing with global players such as SAP or Oracle. “MDI Ventures targets investments based on the company's characteristics and competitiveness in the post-pandemic era. We see RUN System as a startup already established with a proven business model.” said Kenneth.

In Indonesia, there are already several other startups that offer similar solutions, two of them The Essence of Global Solutions and Ukirama. ESB even recently booked an initial funding of 69,5 billion Rupiah with one of the investors involved being AC Ventures.

In 2021, Run System targets a 300% increase in revenue as part of the company's strategic plan to strengthen its position in the Indonesian ERP industry. In a separate interview, Sony's President Director of RUN System, Rachmadi Purnomo, also said that his party had indeed targeted the contribution scale to reach the corporate market in Southeast Asia to be able to compete with global players.

Other than that, IPO It is also rumored to be the next target of Indigo dropout startup companies batch this first. Meanwhile, in the midst of the pandemic, the queue of companies to take the floor on the stock exchange is far from quiet. Reported from Dataword, there have been at least 50 issuers that have conducted IPOs this year. Sony revealed that the ERP industry opportunity in Indonesia is still very large, with around 10-20% of new companies taking advantage of the service for their business. "We are very optimistic that the ERP industry will continue to grow in the future with more and more companies starting to invest and implement ERP systems to streamline their operations," he explained.
