Flick Launches Integrated Digital Financial Services for F&B Businesses

Already has 1500 partners; targeting online sellers, restaurants, warteg and grocery stalls

Aiming to facilitate the transaction process between sellers and buyers, Flick is a platform that carries the concept of online payments cashless using the QR Code to inaugurate their products. To DailySocial, Flick Co-founder & CEO Thalla Hirasazari revealed, when it was launched in 2019, the initial idea for this platform was the concept of a walking ATM, where people could withdraw money in cash through street vendors and warungs.

After going through various adaptation stage and pivot, together with other founders, namely Rizha Teuku, Indra Prasetyo, and Abhishta Gatya then officially started introducing several new products from Flick to target users and merchant.

"Flick is currently focusing on providing solutions to SMEs through two products. First, FlickSilvi+, which is the provision of a system contactless dining for restaurants and cafes, adapting to consumer behavior during the pandemic. Second, FlickShop is a platform online social commerce, said Thala.

With system backgammon Convenient QR, customers who come to partner restaurants only need to scan QR queues and choose food through the digital menu display in smartphone without calling the waiter or getting up from the chair. The integrated system also allows customers to pay for orders through the FlickPay feature.

Make it easier for partners to manage transactions

Intended for partners, both FlickSilvi and FlickSilvi+ carry technology smart cashier mobile. FlickSilvi is designed for SMEs like warungs grocery or warteg to be more digitized and cashless. Meanwhile, FlickSilvi+ targets the restaurant and coffee shop market in processing orders from customers dine-in.

"The advantages offered by FlickSilvi and FlickSilvi+ for partners are the ease of recording sales transactions, alert system raw material stock, and sales analysis data to prevent food waste for the food industry. In addition, in FlickSilvi and FlickSilvi+ there is data that can be absorbed, such as daily sales data, age range, to the customer's domicile area to be used as an effective and measurable sales data analysis," said Thalla.

Targeting sellers online that utilizes social media such as Instagram, Flick then simplifies the sales process in one place through FlickMerchant which is integrated with Instagram. Sellers simply register a shop and upload a photo of the merchandise in the FlickMerchant app, copy the link, and paste the URL in bio link Instagram. Buyers can feel the shopping experience online such as in the Instagram Shop, including choosing a courier service, tracking, and make the purchase transaction. For the buyer side, all these conveniences are available in one Flick app.

"Most sellers provide a sales link on their Instagram profile. When a potential buyer clicks on the link, the potential buyer is directed to channel other platforms, for example WhatsApp or marketplace. With FlickMerchant, it is easier for sellers to provide information on their merchandise directly on Instagram," said Flick CPO Rizha Teuku.

Flick 2021 plans and focus

Currently Flick claims to have around 1500 partners consisting of restaurants and cafes. For FlickSilvi+ products contactless dining, is available in restaurants spread across Greater Jakarta, Bandung and other big cities. To support services, Flick has also formed partnerships with SiCepat logistics service, Mr. Speedy, AnterAja, and are exploring cooperation with Grab as an alternative delivery option.

Flick also has plans to launch FlickTransfer and FlickFund to complement the service digital one-stop-service in the Flick app. Currently still in the process of development and licensing by the OJK, later these two features are expected to facilitate access and make SMEs a means of transferring funds both locally and internationally. Meanwhile, FlickFund aims to provide access to loans to SMEs through the p2p lending.

"In 2021 there are several targets that the company wants to achieve, including focusing on product iterations and the number of transactions. After pocketing funding pre seed from angel investors Kiwi Aliwarga, the company also has plans to do a series A fundraising next year," said Thalla.
