Ensogo Closes All Business Lines in Southeast Asia

Ensogo Indonesia is expected to be included in closing services

Reporting from several news reports today, Ensogo announced the closure of its business in the Southeast Asian market along with the resignation of their CEO, Kris Marszalek. It has been a tough year for Ensogo after the last few months experiencing a slump in share value, the resigning of the board of directors and the layoff of half of the staff.

Quoted From e27, Ensogo said that the Southeast Asia business unit will be closed, all staff have received this information and communication with customers will be carried out in the next few days.

Ensogo is the second foreign e-commerce service to leave the Southeast Asia region this year. In February, Rakuten had closed its services in Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysia due to inability to compete. Ensogo arguably faced the same fate.

Ensogo used to be victorious when it was still called DealKeren and was acquired by a giant daily deal LivingSocial. Business fall daily deal Globally, LivingSocial's business in Indonesia was released to the iBuy Group in April 2014 and then returned to using Ensogo entity.
