Edit Office Documents Now Can Directly Via Gmail

Good news for those who frequently exchange Microsoft Office documents via Email. Update The new Gmail brings a very useful Office integration, which allows users to open and edit Word, Excel, or PowerPoint documents right from within inbox.

Before this, the process was a bit more complicated because users had to first add the document they wanted to edit to Google Drive before finally opening it in Google Docs, Sheets or Slides. Now, users just need to click on the edit button that appears on the attachment.

Once clicked, the Docs, Sheets or Slides editor page automatically appears (depending on the format fillet found in attachment). From there the user can immediately make modifications if needed. Then when they do, they can choose a new option labeled "reply with this file", and windows compose Gmail will also be automatically displayed, complete with the revised document as attachment-New.

What's special, Gmail will not change the format at all fillet-his. The document will still be opened and edited in .docx, .xlsx, or .pptx format, without being converted to Google's default format. All this without having to download attachment then re-upload it after editing.

At the same time, Google Docs has also been updated to fully support mixed page orientation, which means that users can now edit Word documents whose contents are mixed between pages with orientation portrait/selfportrait all at once landscape. In the future, Google also intends to add support so that users can cram images or images watermark behind the text.

For those who haven't got this new feature, please be patient because Google says the process can take up to two weeks before the end Update it can be enjoyed by all users.
