Directorate General of Taxes Inaugurates Tax Payments Through the E-Billing System

Starting 2016 the Directorate General of Taxes officially ended the manual tax payment system or hard copy which has been served by all private banks, state-owned enterprises (BUMN) banks and post offices. Furthermore, taxpayers can pay their taxes online through the E-Billing system.

To accommodate the transition period for all manual tax payments to an online system using E-Billing, Bank Mandiri, BNI, BRI, and BTN, and PT Pos Indonesia will continue to serve manual payments until June 30 this year.

"The implementation of the E-Billing system is a form of improving the services of the Directorate General of Taxes for Taxpayers which is intended to provide convenience, comfort and security in paying taxes," reveal Mekar Satria Utama, Director of Extension, Service and Public Relations, Directorate General of Taxes.

Conceptually, the application of E-Billing is expected to make it easier for taxpayers to make payments anytime and anywhere. In addition, the use of this online system is also expected to be able to avoid transaction mismatches because transactions will be recorded in real time real-time in the Directorate General of Taxes system.

To be able to use this E-Billing system, taxpayers need to register first on the site http://sse.pajak.go.id by entering your TIN number and e-mail address. Furthermore, after being registered, the taxpayer no longer uses the tax deposit form but fills in the tax deposit data. If the tax payment data has been confirmed to be correct, the taxpayer only needs to process it to get a billing code which can then be used to make payments either at Bank Tellers, Pos Persepsi, ATMs, or internet banking.

"A successful tax payment transaction will receive a Proof of State Revenue which has the same position as a Tax Payment Letter," said Mekar.
