Data Center Business in Indonesia Gets More Eyes, Singapore Company Takes Over Indonet's Shares

Indonet President Commissioner Toto Sugiri also serves as President Director and shareholder of DCI Indonesia to build the H2 data center complex

Singapore-based data center provider Digital Edge Holdings added a 47% stake in local IT company Indonet. Digital Edge is now the controlling shareholder in Indonet with 59,1% ownership.

A total of 47% of the shares purchased belonged to Toto Sugiri, Han Arming Hanafia, Bing Moniaga, Marina Budiman, Sanjaya, Halim Soelistio, Augustinus Haryawirasma, and Sudjiwo Husodo. The shares were purchased at a price of IDR 10.495 per share, bringing the total value of this transaction to IDR 1,99 trillion.

Digital Edge Limited is an old shareholder in Indonet with 12,1% ownership.

Indonet President Commissioner Toto Sugiri expressed his high enthusiasm for the arrival of Digital Edge, which has been recognized by the global industry for its experience.

This data center is located in Pertiwi Lestari Industrial Park in Karawang, 47 km from Jakarta.

This announcement was reportedly a few days after the entry of businessman and local conglomerate Anthoni Salim who bought DCI Indonesia shares for up to IDR 1 trillion. Anthoni bought these shares personally, not as a group.

H2 is assumed to be complex data center largest in Southeast Asia with an area of ​​tens of hectares. There will have capacity data center up to hundreds of megawatts (MW) with development to be implemented in several stages.
