Cooperating with AiryRooms, Traveloka Provides Budget Hotel Search

There is something new from the application of technology companies that provide online hotel booking services and Traveloka airline tickets. After updating the application in early June 2016, now on Traveloka users can book hotels at affordable prices (budget hotels) in 5 major cities in Indonesia, namely Jakarta, Yogyakarta, Bali, Bogor and Bandung. The collaboration with Airyrooms allows Traveloka to provide more than 300 hotel rooms for Traveloka users.

Previously, Traveloka had established partnerships with 14 hotel partners officially for domestic and international hotels. Traveloka partnership with AiryRooms is one of the strategies launched to provide more budget hotels which are currently increasingly sought after by users. AiryRooms itself as a room booking network for budget hotels not officially launched yet.

Traveloka Communications Executive Busyra Oryza answered DailySocial's question saying, "Yes, we added the budget hotel option in the latest version of the Traveloka application (V. 2.4) because we received many feedback from customer who want to get a hotel at an affordable price with comfortable facilities.”

Regarding the reason Traveloka chose AiryRooms as a partner and whether this partnership is exclusive, Traveloka is reluctant to provide an answer.

"For this additional question, we choose not to comment, but I can confirm that the addition of budget hotel options in the Traveloka application is to make it easier for users to find standardized quality rooms at affordable prices," Busyra continued.

Budget hotel bookings are a new segment that started to get busy at the end of 2015. At least there are 3 Traveloka-Airyrooms competitors playing in this segment, namely RedDoorz, Nida Rooms, and Stay. Claiming to be a technology company, previously Traveloka has also penetrated different segments by providing features Last Minute Booking.
