Bukalapak Provides QR Code Features at Partner Grocery Shops

Supports payment methods with Open Funds, Bukadompet Balance, Visa/MasterCard/JCB Cards, and cash

Bukalapak provides a QR code scanner feature that users can use when transacting at grocery stores. The presence of this feature is expected to encourage a cashless lifestyle in all aspects of life.

Bukalapak's Corporate Communication Manager, Evi Andarini, said that this feature can only be enjoyed by Bukalapak agents (now called Mitra Bukalapak). Partners who can receive this feature must first verify their personal data with an identity card, photo of themselves, and a photo of the shop or kiosk.

For Bukalapak users, this QR code feature can be used directly from their respective applications from the "Nearby Partners" menu. Supported payment methods are by Open Fund, Visa/MasterCard/JCB Card, and cash to the shop itself.

This feature is currently only available on the Android version. In this menu, users can find out the location of the nearest Partner from their position and directions to get there.

"All transaction What happens on the Bukalapak and Bukalapak Partner platforms is recorded in our system," explained Evi to DailySocial.

Agents become "Bakkake Partners"

The journey of a Bukalapak agent to become a Bukalapak / Bukalapak partner

Regarding program changes, Evi said Mitra Bukalapak is an expansion program that is used to improve the welfare of small and medium entrepreneurs, especially stalls with simple technology. Bukalapak partners can sell virtual products, pay bills, as well as grocery shopping for stall stock easily just from a smartphone.

There is a commission that will be received from every digital transaction. For example, for the sale of physical goods, the commission received is 5%, game vouchers/train tickets/airplane tickets get 5% commission, and other commissions depending on the products successfully sold.

In addition, the company sees the number of Bukalapak Partners continuing to increase and spread throughout Indonesia. The company always wants to be close to its partners in an effort to empower these stall entrepreneurs. Based on these considerations, the company decided to change the Agent program to a Bukalapak Partner.

"Anyone who owns a kiosk, or place of business can register as a Bukalapak Partner easily and for free."

Evi said that until now there are more than 400 thousand stalls joined. The locations are scattered in Java and Palembang. Next year, Mitra Bukalapak is targeted to capture up to 2,5 million stalls.
