Bukalapak Intensively Encourages Gaming and Digital Product Business
Gaming and digital products (from the itemku business line) are said to have high take rates and margins
Sales of digital products and game vouchers managed by marketplace "my item", is one of the focuses of PT Bukalapak.com Tbk (IDX: BUKA) to achieve profits which are targeted to be realized in the fourth quarter of 2023.
Director of Strategy, Corp. Communication and Investor Relations Bukalapak Carl Reading said that his party continues to encourage the business lines that it has take rate and high margins. One of them comes from digital products and game.
"By quarter (QoQ), product Gaming and phone credits had strong growth. Our focus is to encourage sales of existing products high margins and high take rate," he said in a public presentation held Friday (13/10).
The actual margin or revenue contribution of my items is not detailed. However, the second quarter 2023 financial report noted take rate Marketplace line rose 93 basis points to 3% compared to the same period last year. Marketplace revenue in the first semester of 2023 reached IDR 1,2 trillion or grew 75% (YoY).

Market potential Gaming in Indonesia is very large considering that Indonesia is home to around 180 million gamer according to report Niko Partners. The height of the base gamer in the country drives demand for products game, such as accessories, top up, or game vouchers.
