Tron's "Ride Sharing" Application Ready to Target Bajaj Drivers in Jakarta

Application "ride sharing"Tron will soon be available for bajaj drivers in Jakarta. Previously, this application was piloted for the first time in Bekasi by targeting city transportation (angkot) drivers on the K-11A and K-11B routes.

CEO of Tron David Santoso explained, Bajaj, like other public transportation, has not been touched by the digital world. The presence of Tron is expected to increase the number of passengers so that it can improve the economy of Bajaj drivers.

Tron Bajaj itself will be present in Jakarta, especially in Central Jakarta and West Jakarta, both locations are considered to have a fairly vital circulation of bajaj usage.

"The system for Tron Bajaj is ride sharing and the maximum number of passengers for a three-wheeled Bajaj is 2 passengers and for a four-wheeled Bajaj it is 4 passengers," explained David in an official statement, Tuesday (21/5).

Tron was first present for Bekasi public transportation since April 10, 2019. Without data, David claims that the usage increase is quite significant. This consideration made the company confident to bring it to Jakarta.

"We hope that in the near future we will be able to add more routes so that it can provide convenience for our users."

In the next two weeks, the company will also launch a chat feature. This feature allows users to send conversations to public transport drivers who will pick them up at the pick-up point.

"We have also provided training to motorists to comply with existing traffic regulations in using this chat feature," he concluded.

Tron is a product of PT Teknologi Olah Rancang Nusantara, an affiliated company of Digiasia Bios. David himself was previously the CFO of PayPro. For its implementation, Tron took Via, a US technology company. No Via shares were issued to the company.

It is targeted that by the end of this year Tron can digitize seven thousand units of public transportation on the outskirts of Jakarta, such as city transportation, bajaj, buses, microbuses, and others that have not been touched by digital implementation.
